How to Experience God

Seven Realities of Experiencing God

1. God is always at work around you.
No matter where you are you can be sure God is constantly at work somewhere around you. The key is to identify where God is at work and then join Him.

2. God pursues a continuing love relationship with you that is real and personal.
God has an incredible love for you and desire to include you in the work He is doing. He always takes the first step in initiating a relationship with you.

3. God invites you to become involved with Him in His work.
The important question is not, what is God’s will for my life, but rather, what is God’s will? His desire is to include you in His plan.

4. God speaks by the Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the church to reveal Himself, His purposes, and His ways.
Experience alone cannot be your guide. You must interpret things in the Scripture, which help you recognize His voice.

5. God’s invitation for you to work with Him always leads you to a crisis of belief that requires faith and action.
When you realize what God wants you to do, you must make the hard choice to do it. The challenge is to take up your cross daily and follow Him.

6. You must make major adjustments in your life to join God in what He is doing.
You cannot stay the way you are and go with God. To be a servant of God you must be moldable and remain in the hand of the Master.

7. You come to know God by experience as you obey Him, and He accomplishes His work through you.
The more you obey God and observe what He is doing in your life, the better you get to know Him.
